Upgrading D-Link DIR-300 firmware to OSWaveUpgrading from default DIR-300 firmware to OSWave requires use of intermediary firmware. Both the intermediary firmware and OSWave 2.12R firmware (with D-Link DIR-300 support included) are available for download here: DIR-300_to_OSWave_Intermediary_Firmware.bin Please make sure you have these files downloaded and available on your local hard drive before you proceed with the upgrade. You may need to change your computer IP address to 192.168.0.1 netmask 255.255.255.0 to access the device. We start by logging into DIR-300 web interface (Default settings are: IP address 192.168.0.1 with login "admin" and empty password ):
Upgrade process takes approximately 90 seconds after which the device will come up on IP Address 192.168.1.77. You may now need to change your computer IP address to 192.168.1.1 netmask 255.255.255.0 to access the device. Enter http://192.168.1.77 in your Web Browser and intermediary firmware screen appears:
Now, browse for OSWave_2.12R.bin file, press Submit and upgrade process will start. Now, it will take about 120 seconds for first bootup and initial system reconfiguration, please make sure to not interrupt this operation.
Downgrading D-Link DIR-300 running OSWave to the original firmwareIf you at any time decide to downgrade OSWave firmware to the original DIR-300 firmware then please follow these simple steps: In the OSWave system please go to the "Upgrade Firmware" link to see following screen:
