Upgrading Ubiquiti PowerStation2 firmware to OSWavePlease make sure your Ubiquti PowerStation2 is running Firmware v. 2.1.6 before you start. If it does not, then please make sure you upgrade it to the PS2.v2.1.6.bin firmware first. Upgrading from default PowerStation2 firmware to OSWave requires use of intermediary firmware. Both the intermediary firmware and OSWave 2.00R firmware (with PowerStation2 support included) are available for download here: PS2_Intermediary_Firmware_For_OSWave.bin Please make sure you have these files downloaded and available on your local disk before you proceed with upgrade. We start by logging into PowerStation2 web interface (on default IP address 192.168.1.20 with login "ubnt" and password "ubnt" if you did not change them):
Please confirm you want to upgrade to "PS2.ar2316.v2.1.6.to.OSWave.Intermediary.Firmware":
Upgrade process takes approximately 360 seconds after which the device will come up on IP Address 192.168.1.77. Enter http://192.168.1.77 in your Web Browser and intermediary firmware screen appears:
Now, browse for OSWave_2.05R.bin file, press Submit and upgrade process will start. Now, it will take about 720 seconds (yes, 12 minutes) for first bootup and initial system reconfiguration, please make sure to not interrupt this operation.
Downgrading Ubiquiti PowerStation2 running OSWave to the original firmwareIf you at any time decide to downgrade OSWave firmware to the original Ubiquiti PowerStation2 firmware then please follow these simple steps: In the OSWave system please go to the "Upgrade Firmware" link to see following screen:
